As commercial affordability continues to challenge small and minority-owned businesses in growing urban areas, the Atlanta Beltline Marketplace Incubator Program offers a unique solution: shipping containers transformed into affordable storefronts in high-traffic locations along the Beltline, giving underrepresented entrepreneurs the opportunity to build and grow their businesses.

To strengthen the program’s impact, Surthrive, a mission-driven marketing consultancy, has partnered with HUUB, a leading small business support platform, to provide strategic marketing technical assistance to participating Beltline businesses.

The Atlanta BeltLine Marketplace was created to combat the displacement of small businesses caused by rising commercial rents and limited access to prime retail space. The program, led in partnership with HUUB, Co + Hoots and the Atlanta Beltline, empowers local entrepreneurs through low-cost, high-visibility pop-up retail opportunities—while connecting them to vital business development resources.

Surthrive will deliver complimentary one-on-one marketing support, marketing strategy, digital campaign guidance, and lead generation services to help these businesses convert foot traffic into recurring customers.

“We’re proud to build on our work addressing commercial affordability in Boston by bringing that same commitment home to Atlanta,” said Justin McLeod, Founder/CEO of Surthrive. “Commercial space alone isn’t enough. Through our partnership with HUUB, we’re helping local small businesses build capacity to grow and scale beyond the program.”

Outside of the Atlanta Beltline Marketplace program our partnership with HUUB includes a virtual workshop series, led by Surthrive consultants, open to all small businesses. Below are upcoming workshops:

  • Smart Tech Moves for Small Businesses – 4/29
  • Mastering Hyper-Localized Marketing for Small Businesses – 5/13
  • Unlocking E-Commerce with Email & Automation – 7/8
  • Creative Ideas To Reach New Customers – 10/21
