JOB DESCRIPTION 

As the Communications Specialist you will be responsible for delivering clear, concise, and compelling messaging to our internal and external network of partners, stakeholders, and business owners through various mediums to grow Surthrive’s brand as an industry leading service provider. 

A successful candidate should have a love for writing, know how to convey compelling stories in various formats, and be passionate about entrepreneurship and social innovation.

The Communications Specialist will serve as the voice of Surthrive ensuring each stakeholder receives personalized messages. This role is responsible for managing and publishing blog posts, press releases, newsletters, social media content, website copy, case studies, and testimonials. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Create, write and proof-read content for external and internal communications, including websites, newsletters, print materials, events, email marketing, social media, and videos.
  • Develop a content calendar to manage, schedule, and publish original writing, visual, and audio content across various channels 
  • Work cross-functionally with team to develop and design marketing collateral
  • Work with new and existing community partners to publish and distribute press releases 
  • Work with previous clients to develop compelling case studies and testimonial stories
  • Gather data & deliver engagement reports across all external communication efforts 
  • Support marketing and promotional campaigns for new and existing programs 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent in writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in content management systems such as WordPress 
  • Proficient in email provider softwares such as Mailchimp 
  • Preferably proficient with design software such as the Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva 
  • Strong interest in the discourse around technology, startups, entrepreneurship, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Experience in developing and maintaining a clear and consistent brand voice

JOB DESCRIPTION 

As an Administrative Assistant you will be responsible for managing general administrative tasks to ensure internal operations flow smoothly and seamlessly to increase Surthrive’s capacity to scale. 

A successful candidate should combine their organization, technical, and communication skills together to manage detailed tasks, ensure documentation is filed in an easily accessible manner, and 

The Administrative Assistant will serve as the glue that ensures that no balls are dropped by the Surthrive team to ensure expectations from our customers and partners are being delivered and exceeded. This role is responsible for data entry, file maintenance, email correspondences, and other general administrative activities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Maintaining, preparing, and sending electronic and paper files from key stakeholders
  • Organizing documents and records from key stakeholders into separate folders on the Google Drive
  • Work with Managing Director to develop templates and correspondences for repetitive messages and documents 
  • Mitigate client coaching call summaries from Surthrive’s CRM to our partners CRM.
  • Communicate with customers requesting any necessary documentation needed 
  • Create and process invoices for customers and partners 
  • Respond to direct phone calls, emails, and other correspondences

REQUIREMENTS

  • Detail-oriented mindset with proven attention to detail and organization through prior work experience

  • Proficient in G Suite tools such as Google docs and Google Sheets

JOB DESCRIPTION 

As a Business Consultant you will be responsible for developing and maintaining close relationships with small business owners and early-stage startups to help them grow and scale their business. You will leverage a combination of consulting insights from both your personal experience and Surthrive’s proven-playbook to provide masterful advice that empowers business owners to achieve results.

A successful candidate should have the business acumen to assess core problems a business is struggling with, identify goals and develop creative solutions / strategies to meet and exceed those goals. 

The Business Consultant will serve as the direct point of contact for Surthrive ensuring each business owner receives personalized support and walks away satisfied. This role is responsible for managing client communication, analyzing data to make data-driven suggestions, and documenting interactions and results. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Building and maintaining client relationships via setting and managing expectations, as well as addressing any client concerns with grace and patience — we aren’t happy unless the client is delighted.
  • Facilitating objective, results-oriented conversations with clients regularly.
  • Providing business owners with insights, coaching, and holding them accountable to what they say they want to achieve.
  • Documenting coaching calls and providing summaries to clients including action items and next steps into Surthrive and our partners CRM.
  • Help our clients bridge the gap between marketing and overall business operations management.
  • Advise 5-10 business owners on go-to-market strategy, business model development, and capital readiness 
  • Follow Surthrive’s step-by-step marketing strategy process
  • Conduct digital audits reviewing business owners performance by the numbers
  • Compile research, insights, and frameworks into a insightful action plan at the end of each engagement 
  • Work closely with other consultants to report on business owner progress 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-3+ years of business leadership and/or strategy and operations experience across HR, finance, people management, and/or sales functions
  • 1-3+ years experience advising entrepreneurs and/or business owners (tech startups, e-commerce brands, and/or small businesses) 
  • Excellent in writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiar with basic business development frameworks such as Business Model Canvas and Customer Personas
  • Familiar with navigating and operating various CRMs 
  • Strong interest in the discourse around technology, startups, entrepreneurship, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Proven attention to detail and organization through prior work experience
