SnapChat Growth Hack


Event Tent is an event discovery app that helps millennials with the last minute outing decision by showcasing real-time visual content of live events nearby posted by fellow users.


Event Tent’s objective was to create a unique way to reach and engage college students in the metro Atlanta area with a very limited marketing budget.


  • Experiential:
    • We coordinated a brand activation at Morehouse College’s Hump Wednesday event, a weekly block party for Atlanta University Center (AUC) Students, where our brand ambassadors passed out giveaways, T-Shirt’s, and demoed the app to college students at a vendor table onsite.
  • Influential:

    • Hump Wednesday held live performances from Billboard’s #1 chart toppers, Rae Sremmurd and the Migos! Where we obtained a verbal shoutout from the artists and got the company’s logo in their hands.
  • Digital:
    • Snapchat just introduced their Geofilters were now accessible to the general public for purchase. We created a customized Event Tent branded SnapChat Filter and strategically placed it in the exact location and time of the Hump Wednesday event.

    • 300% Increase in Downloads

    • 500K+ Impressions
  • Digital: 
    • Geo-filter was used 944 times and received over 95,701 views
    • The Geo-Filter made it to the College Campus Stories Live Feed
